Implementing Compare AD at Your Organization
:: How to Subscribe

Subscription is now available to all acute care hospitals and health systems. The annual subscription rate is $5,000. For more details and for a subscription contract, please contact ACMA. Email avoidabledelay@acmaweb.org or call the ACMA National Office at 501-907-2262. If you are a customer of one of Compare AD’s partner companies, please contact your sales representative (see below).

:: Partner Companies

To make the benefits of Compare AD available to the greatest number of hospitals, ACMA is partnering with various case management software providers to implement the Compare AD system in their software for those of their customers who choose to subscribe. This provides an added value and streamlines the implementation and reporting processes for their customers. If you are a current customer of one of these partner companies, you may subscribe to Compare AD by contacting that company’s sales representative.

ACMA and Compare AD have partnerships with Allscripts, ACS MIDAS+, and Morrisey©.

:: What Happens After Subscription

Once a new subscription contact and payment are finalized, implementation can often be completed in as little as three to four weeks, allowing you to begin collecting data using the Compare AD dictionary. New subscriber implementation proceeds through the following steps:

  • Subscriber will receive the Compare AD delay dictionary from ACMA, and replace their existing dictionary. (Organization-specific delay reasons not included in the Compare AD delay dictionary can also be added.)
  • Implementation education is conducted with the Director and/or staff via conference call and/or webinar. This will include a thorough overview of using the Compare AD system, discussion and case examples of the delay reason codes, and other Q&A.
  • When ready, the case management department will begin tracking and recording delays using the Compare AD dictionary, starting on the first day of a calendar month.
  • Each month, the designated individual at the subscribing organization will submit to ACMA tracking reports from the previous month. Reports are due on the 15th day (or next business day) of the following month.
  • Reports are created by ACMA according to calendar quarters. When all submissions are received for a quarter (due by the 15th of the month following the end of the quarter), ACMA will begin conducting comparative analyses on submitted data. Benchmarking reports are released to subscribers no more than 60 days following the end of the quarter.
  • Subscribers continue submitting delay tracking data to ACMA monthly, and receiving quarterly benchmarking reports for use in their organization.
